DOLE sends home 136K OFWs

THE Department of Labor and Employment reported that over 136,000 overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) have been transported to their respective home provinces thru the department’s continuing efforts in assisting migrant workers affected by the pandemic.

PRC to keep blood supply flowing 

WITH the country in danger of facing a shortage of blood supply amid the COVID-19 pandemic, which has prompted the government to limit public transportation, movement and to prohibit group gatherings, the Philippine Red Cross will launch a new program for blood donation on World Blood Donors’ Day to ensure sufficient supply of safe and quality blood.

First mobile quarantine facility at CCP complex completed

Villar said the high cube containers converted into mobile rooms can be used as additional COVID-19 isolation health facilities or these may also function as alternative living quarters to temporarily house medical doctors and staff on duty at hospitals or at mega quarantine facilities operating at PICC, World Trade Center and Rizal Memorial Coliseum.
