The third patient coded # 338,  is a 31-year-old priest of the Holy Rosary Major Seminary at Concepcion Pequeña, this city.  A swab test was done on the prelate and he was confirmed Covid positive on July 24.

1,245 hogs afflicted by ASF culled

A total of 1,245 hogs afflicted by the African Swine Fever (ASF) have been culled over the week by personnel of the Department of Agriculture (DA) Region-5, as the DA implemented a lockdown on the trade of live and processed pork products in the towns of Bombon, Magarao and Calabanga, all in the third district of C. Sur province.

Heavy equipment torched

Police Captain Dexter Panganiban, spokesperson of the Albay Police provincial office said, a representative from Horizontal Builders Corporation owned by contractor “Bucky” Macandog sought assistance from the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) in Daraga town, that their dump truck at barangay Lacad and a backhoe in barangay Pandan were reportedly on fire. While on their way to the location of the fire, local residents told that minutes earlier, armed men in groups were seen to have set ablaze the heavy equipment.

306 rebs, others yield in Masbate
