Every fourth Wednesday or last Wednesday of the month of November, the Gusi Peace Prize International, Manila, Philippines gives awards to specially chosen awardees from all over the world.
This year, there are 18 awardees from different countries who will be named the Gusi Peace Prize International 2018 Laureates.
Allow me to name them: Mdme. Susana Pesis from Argentina; Dr. Jose Ricardo de Vargas from Colombia; Mr. Alberto Monge from Costa Rica; Dr. Isaias Salas Herrera from Costa Rica; Mdme. Teresita Vallejo from Cuba; Engr. Dawit Tesfaye from Ethiopia; Dr. Gerhard Sennewald from Germany; Dr. Peter Seeberger from Germany; Prof. A.B. Akhilesh from India; Prof. Lincoln McCurdy from U.S.A.; Dr. Magdalena Patricio from Portugal; Gen. Antonio L. Tamayo from Philippines; Justice Lucas Bersamin from Philippines; Dr. Mirza Ikhtiar Baig from Pakistan; Mr. Faruq Cengic from Turkey; Prof. Malcolm McCulloch from South Africa; Tan Sri Dato Limkokwing from Malaysia and Dr. Andrie Woltczak from Poland.
Presidential Proclamation 1476 every 4th week of Wednesday on the month of November as Gusi Peace Prize International friendship day.
There are two Filipino awardees this year, as you will notice: Gen. Antonio L. Tamayo, owner of Perpetual Help Academy; and Supreme Court Associate Justice Lucas Bersamin.
The Gusi Peace Prize Laureates for 2018 are from Argentina, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Ethiopia, Germany, India, U.S.A., Portugal, Philippines, Pakistan, Turkey, South Africa, Malaysia and Poland.

The Annual Awards night will be on Wednesday, November 28, 2016 at the Philippine International Convention Center in Roxas Boulevard, Manila at 6:00 P.M.
Attire: Ladies: Formal Gown, if possible Filipiniana (National Formal Dress), if it’s possible. Not compulsory. Even cocktail dress will do.
Gentlemen: Black Tie / Business Suit, Barong, National Formal Attire.
Registration starts at 5:00 P.M. Cocktails will be served after the ceremony.
