KATRINA Halili is back in full contravida mode in her latest soap, “Prima Donnas”, which stars three tween stars in the title roles. These are Jillian Ward as Donna Marie, Althea Ablan as Donna Belle, and Sofia Pablo as Donna Lynn.
“Siyempre, kasali ako para may mang-aapi sa kanila,” says Katrina, who’s used to oppressing children in previous soaps like “Munting Heredera” and “Sa Piling ni Nanay”. “Exciting ang show kasi it’s directed by Gina Alajar, fresh from her successful direction of ‘Onanay’. Nakakatuwa rin kasi si Jillian, nakita nating bata pa through the years, but now level up na siya as dalaginding in her most mature role as the Ate of the Donnas. Excited din ako kasi kasama namin dito sina Aiko Melendez, Wendell Ramos and Chanda Romero. Malapit na kaming umere kaya abangan nyo.”
About her romantic life, the rumor is that she has found a new boyfriend who’s not from showbiz. She has been seen attending the culinary classes of well-known chef, Heny Sison, because she believes that the best way to a man’s heart is through her stomach. How true?
“Ay naku, 'wag na nating pag-usapan 'yan,” she says. “Nag-aaral akong magluto for my daughter, Katie, not for anyone else. She’s turning 7 years old in a couple of months at nagiging pihikan na sa pagkain so gusto kong matutong magluto ng iba’t ibang klaseng dishes.”
