Loisa and Ronnie assure they will never be like JoshLia

February 05, 2020

LOISA Andalio is so happy and excited with the big break she’s getting in Star Cinema’s Valentine offering, “James & Pat & Dave”. “I’m so thankful po for this blessing kasi hindi lang ito basta starring role kundi title role pa, tapos kami pa ni Ronnie (Alonte) ang magkasama,” she says. “Matagal naming hinintay ang ganitong project and we want to thank Direk Ted Boborol for coming up with a very entertaining romantic-comedy for our launching as a love team on and off cam.”

Loisa started in showbiz when was only 13 as part of a girl group called 3G. At 14, she joined Pinoy Big Brother 2014 as the Darling Housemate from Parañaque. Immediately after this, she was paired with co-housemate Joshua Garcia in the afternoon soap “Nasaan Ka Nang Kailangan Kita”. She became a member of two other girl groups, Girl Trends and BFFs. She played supporting roles on TV in “Dear Heart” and “Good Son” and in movies like “Hospicio” (a horror flick where she was nominated as best actress in CInema One Filmfest), “Crazy Beautiful You” and “The Revengers”. Now, she’s being launched to full stardom. What’s her role in “James & Pat & Dave”?

“I play Pat Reyes, probinsyanang assistant manager sa isang hostel sa lugar namin owned by the family of Ronnie who plays James,” she says. But then, I had to ask him to pretend to be my boyfriend to avoid yung ex kong si Dave, played by Donny Pangilinan.

How is it working with her real BF in the movie? Did their relationship get in the way when they are having a fight?

What’s the difference of their love team to those of others? “I think the big difference is bago pa nag-start ang movie, kami na talaga. Yung iba kasi, hindi sila, but during their work, nagkaka-developan sila. Ngayon, may Valentine movie pa kami.

Do they have a kissing scene in the movie? Swak talaga! Ha ha ha! Nagpalakpakan nga sila sa set, e.”

Some folks say she and Ronnie might later follow in the footsteps of JoshLia who eventually broke up. It’s Ronnie who replies at this point: “That will never happen sa Loinie. Malabong mangyari 'yun dahil laging open ang communication lines namin.”

“Oo nga,” Loisa agrees. “Kasi ako, kapit talaga ako kay Ronnie, eh. Hindi na siya makakakawala.”
