LOISA Andalio gets to play her first lead role in “Hospicio”, a horror-mystery film directed by Bobby Bonifacio which is an entry in Cinema One Originals Festival that starts showing on October 12. “I’m so happy to be given this opportunity to play the lead character in this movie,” she says. “First time kong magsolo, walang ka-love team at hindi nga ako makapaniwala noong una nang ialok nila sa’kin ito. Kasi dati, pangarap lang 'yung makapagbida ako sa sarili kong movie. So ngayon, feeling so blessed ako and all throughout, habang nagsu-shooting kami, sobrang masaya at inspired ako to give my best.”
Her role is very challenging as a drug addict who is committed by her own parents to a “hospicio” for drug rehabilitation. “I got depressed here after my sister was left in a coma due to a drug-related incident. I play Leslie, a budding artist, na talagang sobrang grieving and may guilt feelings over what happened to my sister, so dinala nga ako ng parents ko sa hospicio para ipagamot. But I didn’t know that the place pala is haunted and while I’m there, I slowly discovered its secrets na there’s something more pala in the hospicio than what people know. Marami siyang matutuklasang kababalaghan doon. I will start to doubt myself kung totoo ba 'yung mga nakikita or am I just hallucinating?”
Is she expecting to win as best actress come the Cinema One Filmfest Awards Night? “Naku, hindi po. Hindi po ako assumera. Ang gagaling ng mga kalaban ko. Basta I’m just happy na nabigyan ako ng ganitong ka-challenging na role and I just really did my best to give justice to it. Sana, magustuhan ng mga taong manonood nito.”
Loisa is a former PBB Housemate first linked with batchmate Joshua Garcia who has since been paired with Julia Barretto. She was last seen in a lead role in “Wansapanataym” and her next TV project is “The General’s Daughter” where she supports Angel Locsin. She’s currently linked to Ronnie Alonte and it looks like they’re not hiding their relationship at all.
Loisa also sings and she has released her first single with Star Music, “Sasamahan Kita”. Her fans say she’s obviously dedicating the lyrics of her song to no one else but Ronnie. One fan even commented in social media: “Ang ganda ng song ni Loisa for Ronnie. Nakaka-LSS (last song syndrome) ang dating kasi very catchy. Sana, gumawa siya ng music video nito na sila ang magkapareha.”
