P1.2M shabu seized in Angeles City

ANGELES City -- Some P1.2 million worth of shabu was confiscated here in Barangays Pulung Maragul and San Nicolas buy-busts over the weekend.

Col. Joyce Patrick Sangalang, city police director here, said the drug sting in Sitio Airwolf,  Barangay Pulung Maragul resulted in the arrest of Eduardo Mercado, 39, and Abegail Archangel, 29.

Confiscated from the two were several sachets of shabu weighing 175 grams valued at P1,900,000.

Also seized from the suspects were the P1,000 marked money and a small sachet of shabu.

Meanwhile on Valdez St., Barangay San Nicolas, Marco Torres, 25, who is the loca; police drug list;  and Flora dela Pena, 23.

The two were arrested after they sold P500 worth of shabu to a poseur-buyer and they yielded seven grams of shabu worth P47,600.

The confiscated drugs were brought to police station  while the suspects will be charged with violation of Section 5 and Section 11 of RA 9165.
