BIG night for everyone behind the award-winning Metro Manila Filmfest (MMFF) 2018 entry, Rainbow Sunset, ang katatapos na appreciation dinner ng MMFF 2018.
Nakasentro kasi sa kanila ang event, lalo pa nga at nominated ang pelikula to receive a Remi Award in the coming 52nd Annual Worldfest Houston to be held in Houston, Texas.
No wonder, grinning from ear to ear ang producer ng Rainbow Sunset na si Harlene Bautista, whose family owns Heaven’s Best Productions, which produced the movie.
Also present were the cast of the movie, headed, of course, by Eddie Garcia and Gloria Romoero with supporting player Tony Mabesa.
Nandu’n din, siyempre, si Direk Joel Lamangan, na siyang nagdirek ng Rainbow’s Sunset based sa story and script na sinulat ni Eric Ramos.
In the same event, formally ay in-announce na rin ni MMDA (Metro Manila Development Authority) Chairman Danny Lim ang official start ng MMFF 2019.
This year’s event will coincide with the celebration of the 45th anniversary ng MMFF at ang Centennial celebration ng Philippine cinema.
Kaya, let’s expect a bigger and more meaningful filmfest daw dahil it will go regional and even international.

SPEAKING of Harlene, agaw-pansin siya sa nabanggit na event dahil she didn’t only look sexier but prettier as well.
Obvious na naibsan na ang kung anumang sadness na kanyang naramdaman sa pormal at well-announced na paghihiwalay nila ng asawang si Romnick Sarmenta.
We also heard that Harlene is now preparing Heaven’s Best’s entry in the 2019 MMFF.
To be called In The Name of The Mother, si Eric pa rin ang nagku-conceptuale nito ngayon.
Wala pa raw tiyak na members ang cast ng movie. Hindi pa rin daw alam ni Direk Joel kung sa kanya pa rin muling ipagkakatiwala ni Harlene ang pamamahala sa pelikula.

STILL on Romnick, he is winning kudos for his role in the ABS-CBN series, Halik, where he pits talents with Jericho Rosales, Sam Milby, Cris Villanueva and lead actresses Yam Concepcion, Yen Santos and Amy Austria.
Two newcomers equally portraying important roles in the series are Jane de Leon and Gab Lagman.
