VALEEN Montenegro was last seen in the hardhitting action-drama series, “Beautiful Justice”, where she played the villain role. The show’s rights have been bought for international exhibition and it’s now being shown in Ecuador and in iFlix.
“Nakakatuwa nga na ang sarili nating mga programa are now being shown in other countries,” she says. “And so far, maganda raw ang feedback ng foreign viewers, kaya naman I can really say na I’m proud to be a part of this show na mga babae kaming naga-action nina Yasmien Kurdi, Gabbi Garcia and Bea Binene.”
So what is she doing now to fill up her time while we’re on corona lockdown and her other show, “Bubble Gang”, has also stopped taping new episodes?
“Lahat tayo, our primary goal should be maging fit and healthy para hindi tayo mahawa sa pandemic na laganap ngayon sa buong mundo,” she says. “Since I’m really into physical fitness, I’m now offering free online workout classes sa internet. You can watch this sa Instagram account ko or sa video conferencing app na Zoom.”
She says people should not just hibernate at home while they’re not working. “The more that you’ll feel lazy and sluggish kung hindi ka gumagalaw,” she adds. “We should always remain active so our health will not deteriorate and we will always be energetic. I’m offering different kinds of workouts at puwede kayong mag-choose which ones ang gusto ninyong gawin.”
She has gotten good feedback from her followers and she reposts the comments she receives from them, like this one from a Makati resident: “Thank you po for your workout videos. Lagi ko pong ginagawa ang mga workout ninyo at nakikita ko na po ang improvement sa body ko. You’re a big help po.”
She says such words of encouragement give her more energy to produce more workout videos. “I’m glad to be of great help to anyone and everyone during this quarantine period,” she wrote in her social media ccount. “Thanks to all those who have trusted me in leading you in your workouts. We can all do this together and survive this crisis looking more physically fit than ever.”
