MEGAN Young and Mikael Daez surprised everyone with their two weddings that didn’t have much fanfare. Now, they are sharing these nuptials in their own vlog on youtube, and their fans just appreciate and love it.

Their first wedding was held at Caleruega in Tagaytay with only family members in attendance. Then they had a bigger wedding and reception at Subic with more than a hundred people in attendance, both family, friends and workmates. In it, you will also see why Mikael calls Megan as Bones and while Megan calls Mikael as Fofo.

“We’re really happy to share this most important event in our lives as a couple,” says Megan. “It’s certainly most unforgettable and viewers can easily see how happy we are with each other.”

Now, that we’re on a lockdown, how do they spend their time together as a couple? “Mostly, we just stay home to keep safe,” she replies. “It’s very seldom that we go out of our condo, but kung lumabas man kami to buy some food supplies, we make sure na we’re wearing face masks. That’s mandatory. At lagi rin kaming may sanitizer to make sure our hands our clean kung may mga hinahawakan kaming paninda. When we get home, ligo agad to make sure we’re clean. Lagi rin kaming naga-alcohol. Maintaining good hygiene is a must in these dangerous times of the contagion.”

Megan is part of GMA-7’s new domestic drama, “Legal Wives”, where she co-stars with Dennis Trillo, Bianca Umali and Alice Dixson. They’re supposed to start taping but the lockdown postponed it.
In turn, Mikael is a member of the cast of the hit primetime drama, “Love of My Life”, where he plays Coney Reyes’ less favored son. But taping has also been stopped while we’re on lockdown and it’s been replaced by the romcom “Meant to Be” and the intense drama, “My Husband’s Lover”. How do they remain being productive now that they’re not working?

“Well, if you’re following our youtube channel, Megan and I are busy shooting videos for our vlogs and podcasts,” says Mikael. “We talk about issues that concern us, current events, 'yung mga nangyayari sa paligid namin and our own personal experiences. Also our opinions that we share with our viewers specially at this dangerous times na meron tayong fears and anxieties. Okay naman ang feedback so far, viewers tell us gumagaan ang loob at pakiramdam nila after listening to our own take on how to cope with this extended home quarantine. We also ask them to pray for the safety of our health workers and frontliners na talaga namang overworked these days. Napakalaki ng tulong nila sa crisis na ito and we should all be thankful for their sacrifices.”

So what will they first do when this worldwide crisis is finally over? “Siyempre, we have to thank the Lord for helping us to survive this ordeal. Then we hope that we'll all maintain the good health practices that we’re doing now, like good habits of staying clean. Our air is now clean, walang masyadong pollution, even our seas, so sa mas maging conscious tayo on how to maintain this for the good of our environment kahit wala nang pandemic.”
