CABANATUAN CITY -- Anti-narcotics police in Nueva Ecija nabbed six suspected drug traffickers during separate buy-bust operations on Wednesday amid the implementation of general community quarantine protocols against the COVID-19 pandemic.
Romeo Baynosa Jr., 40, of Bgy. Luyos was arrested in San Antonio.
Baynosa also yielded three plastic sachets containing shabu worth P1,500 and the P500 buy-bust money, said Major Ador Depnag, police officer-in-charge.
In San Isidro, Major Joel Dela Cruz, town police head said his men in coordination with PDEA Region 3 conducted a sting in Bgy. Poblacion at 5:15 p.m. and arrested Joel Francisco, alias Bato, 40, of Bgy. Mangga after the latter sold shabu worth P500 to a police poseur-buyer.
In Palayan City, nabbed was Harris Abogado, 35, mechanic, of Bgy. Mapalad, Sta. Rosa.
City police officer-in-charge Lt. Col. Avelina De Guzman said Abogado, who is included in drug watchlist of the Sta. Rosa police, was apprehended after consummating a drug deal with an undercover police operative in Bgy. Militar at 7:30 p.m.
Two other drug suspects were arrested in Sta. Rosa town at 8:30 p.m.
Police officer-in-charge Major George Calauad Jr. identified the arrested duo as Edwin Rivera, 47, of Bgy. Burgos, Sta. Rosa, and Ramoncito Muncal, 46, of Bgy. Sumacab Sur, Cabanatuan City.
The sixth arrested suspect was identified as Arturo Dela Cruz, 43, of Pabalan Subd., Bgy. Abar 1st, San Jose City.
City police chief Lt. Col. Heryl Bruno said his men collared the suspect during a sting in Bgy. Abar 1st at 8:10 p.m.
