LUCENA CITY — Joint police teams arrested a rape suspect Friday in Bgy. Limbon, Sariaya, Quezon.
Quezon police director Col. Audie Madrideo said the suspect, Christian Lavarez alias Moymoy, 21, was collared by joint elements of the Regional Intelligence Unit (RIU)4-A, Provincial Intelligence Unit and Sariaya police station under Lt. Col. Reynaldo Reyes at 9:30 a.m.
Madrideo said the arrest was carried out on the strength of an arrest order for rape issued by Judge Patricia Angeles R. Cataquiz of Family Court Branch 16, with no recommended bail.
Reyes said the suspect is listed as the number 11 most wanted felon in the regional level and number 7 in the municipal level.
Quoting police records, Reyes said the suspect was accused by a minor of raping her on June 24, 2019 inside his house in Bgy. Castañas, Sariaya, Quezon.
The suspect is now detained at the custodial facility of Sariaya municipal police station.
