A 23-year-old rider died while four others were injured in a head-on collision between a motorcycle and a tricycle Sunday evening in Parañaque City.
Mark Jesus Sari, of No. 78 Serrano Street in Caloocan City, succumbed to massive head and body injuries while being rushed to Las Piñas District Hospital. The tricycle driver identified as Roderick Milo of No. 8 M. Ville, in Bgy. San Dionisio, and his three passengers sustained minor injuries and were rushed to Ospital ng Parañaque for treatment.
Parañaque police traffic investigator SPO4 Ricky Macaraeg said the incident happened at the service road of A. Santos Avenue in front of Our Lady of Peace Hospital in Bgy. San Dionisio, at around 8:15 p.m.
Police said the tricycle and the motorcycle collided head-on after the motorcycle driven by Sari allegedly encroached on the lane of the tricycle while travelling on opposite direction.
Police said a case for reckless imprudence resulting in homicide and multiple physical injuries and damage to property will be filed against Milo before the Parañaque City Prosecutor’s Office.
