A TOTAL of 14 employees were awarded by Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) General Manager Ed Monreal for their outstanding performance of duties.
The awardees included 11 members of the Airport Police Department, two medical staff and a member of Terminal Operation Group.
The awarding was made during the flag-raising ceremony yesterday where Monreal cited the employees for a job well done specially in arresting notorious ‘Salisi Gang’ members, swindlers and robbery extortion gang members at NAIA Terminal 3, including suspect Joseph Pascasio.
The airport policemen who were awarded were APD S/Insp. Danilo Inalves, APO2 Nino Calma, APO2 Ferdinand Cesar Mandanas, APO2 Edwin Mapile, APO2 Alvin Patayan, APO1 Joey Barlaan, APO1 Jim Allan Alcan-tara, APO1 Efreliza Bugarin, APO1 Fernando Panghulan and APO1 Jerico Kim Patriarca.
Arturo Verallo of the TOG, on the other hand, was cited after he returned US$500 at the NAIA Terminal 1 last October 22, 2018.
APO3 Amor Andula was awarded based on a recommendation by passenger Margaret Cunanan Insia after her laptop was returned at the NAIA Terminal 3.
Meanwhile, the medical staff who were awarded assisted a pregnant woman who suffered bleeding at the NAIA Terminal 2.
