TWO undocumented aliens wanted by authorities in Korea and China for fraud in separate enforcement operations were arrested by the Bureau of Immigration (BI).
The two were identified by BI Fugitive Search Unit (FSU) Chief Bobby Raquepo as Korean national Kim Dae Yeop, 57 and Chinese national Jiang Rongqun, 32. Both were arrested in Malate and Binondo, respectively.
They will be detained at the BI detention facility in Camp Bagong Diwa, Taguig City pending their deportation.
In his report to BI Commissioner Jaime Morente, Raquepo said Kim is wanted by authorities in Korea for lobbying expense payment for closed circuit television worth 250-M Korean won, while Jiang is wanted by Chinese authorities for fraud and economic crimes.
According to Raquepo, the mission order immediately followed after receiving copies of the arrest warrants issued to the aliens by their respective governments.
