TWO arrogant security guards and a K9 handler are in hot water after they showed disrespect towards the chief of the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) Director Guillermo Eleazar Wednesday night in Taguig City.

Taguig city police chief Senior Supt. Alexander Santos is set to invite Jonathan Agrito and Harold Burgos of Lanting Security Agency and K9 handler Glen Garcia of Agro Security Agency who were all assigned at the screening area of Shangri-La Hotel in Bonifacio Global City in Taguig.

The incident happened at around 7:30 p.m. when NCRPO Director Eleazar, together with his security convoy who were all in full uniform, arrived at the premises of Shangri-La Hotel to attend to an important meeting.

Before the convoy arrived at the premises, Director Eleazar ordered his driver to put off the blinkers of their patrol car as a sign of courtesy but they were still ordered to stop for inspection by the two security guards.

When Garcia was about to open the compartment of the PNP marked vehicle, the NCRPO chief politely introduced himself and asked if it still necessary to open the PNP marked vehicle which the K9 handler, replied sarcastically, “Mga senador nga na pumupunta dito ng walang koordinasyon ini-inspect namin,” while the two security guards immediately placed the traffic cone in front of the marked vehicle to prevent it from passing through.

Director Eleazar again politely asked if they can let his vehicle pass since he was already late on his appointment and to settle the matter later but the guards vehemently refused.

Senior Supt. Santos said that if the guards will be found guilty of being arrogant and discourteous, they will be facing suspension and must be subjected to undergo training and seminars in order to learn their limitations in implementing rules and regulations.
