RAFAEL Lacson, 32, had long suspected that his elder brother Andi, 38, was having an affair with his live-in partner. Seething with jealousy, the suspicious man stabbed and seriously wounded his kuya in Malabon City. It was a rare case of blood not being thicker than water. All because of one woman.
The suspect, a tricycle driver, attacked his elder brother Wednesday afternoon.
Malabon police chief P/Col. Jessie Tamayao said Andi was rushed to the Tondo Medical Center for treatment of stab wounds in the left armpit. Rafael escaped and is now the object of a police manhunt.
Investigation conducted by P/MSgt. Joselito Bagting and P/SSgt. Mardelio Osting showed the victim was inside their house located on 62 A.V. Reyes St., Bgy. San Agustin, when his younger brother, who was under the influence of liquor, arrived at around 5:20 p.m.
The suspect pulled out a bladed weapon tucked in his waist and stabbed the victim twice in the left armpit.
SMSgt. Bagting said he was able to interview Andi before the victim underwent surgery.
Andi allegedly told the investigator that Rafael was suspicious the victim and the suspect’s live-in partner were having a sexual relationship.
