TWO Chinese nationals yesterday sought help from the Manila Police District-General Assignment and Investigation Section (MPD-GAIS) after they were victimized by four ‘Ativan Gang’ members who were earlier arrested and detained at the MPD Headquarters on United Nations Avenue in Ermita, Manila.

Victims Huaxin Zhange, 23 and Yao Xin, 24, both temporarily staying in Caloocan City, lodged a formal complaint against suspects  James Soriano, 54, of No. 19 Manunggal St., Tatalon, Quezon City; Michelle Wenceslao, 34, of No. 19 M. Flores St., Bagong Ilog, Pasig City; Analyn Castro, 39, of Blk. B, Lot 1, Bayanan, Alabang, Muntinlupa City and Elma Matas, 39,  of Brgy. Punta, San Narciso ,Quezon Province.

All four were positively identified by the victims as the ones who befriended them at around 8 p.m. of January 6 and then asked them to join the suspects in a drinking spree.

The victims lost consciousness apparently after downing drinks laced with sleep-inducing drugs and then woke up at a parking space with their cellphones and money already gone.

Before them, another Chinese, identified as Li Wei Yang, 35, of 210 Makati Avenue, Makati City, also complained that the victims took his P100,000 via unauthorized withdrawals after they stole his wallet when he also fell unconscious after drinking with them.
