2 elderly nabbed for running drug den

TWO senior citizens along with their younger associate were nabbed by the police for allegedly running a drug den in  San Andres Bukid, Malate, Manila the other night.

The two were identified as Ricky Belarmino of No. 2515 Radium St. San Andres Bukid and Bernardo Lauzon of No. 2441 Crisolita St., San Andres Bukid, both 60 years old and Rodolfo Garcia Jr., 28, of No. 1661 Crisolita St. also in San Andres Bukid.

​Police said that at around 9:30 p.m.,  a buy-bust operation was conducted by the Drug Enforcement Unit of the Sta. Ana Police Station 6 at No. 2442 Crisolita Street in San Andres Bukid where the three were said to have been caught in the act of selling drugs to a cop who posed as a buyer.

​Information gathered by the police said that the three had been running a drug den in the said address.

Confiscated from them were three plastic sachets containing three grams of shabu worth P16,320, an improvised shotgun and  three pieces of 12 gauge ammunition as well as drug paraphernalia.

​All three were brought to the Sta. Ana Police Station which filed against them charges of violation of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 and RA 10591 or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.
