TWO barkers suspected of supplying shabu to jeepney drivers in San Juan City were nabbed during a buy-bust on Friday.
In a report submitted to Eastern Police District (EPD) director Brig Gen. Christopher Tambungan, San Juan Police chief PCol. Ariel R.Fulo identified the suspects as Edgar Cerame, alias Pangs, 46, and Sonny Boy Saquillo, alias Sonny, 36, both residents of Blumentritt St., Bgy.Kabayanan, San Juan. They were collared for selling shabu on F.Manalo Street, Bgy.Kabayanan at around 9:20 a.m.
The duo was arrested after being placed under surveillance for weeks.
An undercover team led by Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) P/MSgt. Gerard Crisostomo arranged a meeting with the two suspects for a drug purchase.
Fulo said the two were caught after they handed a sachet of shabu to an officer posing as a buyer.
According to Fulo, suspect Cerame was a known drug pusher and detained in 2005 for illegal drugs and was freed in 2012 after he was acquitted by the court.
Suspect Saquillo is a known drug user in their barangay and is a “newly-identified” personality.
