2 killed in separate Quezon Cit shootouts

Four robbery suspects were killed in two (2) separate shootouts with policemen in Quezon City

Quezon City Police District (QCPD) director, PCSupt. Joselito T. Esquivel Jr. said, at about 1:45 this morning, operatives of Batasan Police Station (PS 6) received a report that four men on board two motorcycles robbed a convenience store along Sto. Niño St., Brgy. Holy Spirit.

PS 6 operatives immediately responded. Two of the robbers quickly left on board a motorcycle after sensing the presence of the police.

Two other suspects were killed after engaging policemen in a shootout.

Recovered from the suspects were caliber .38 Armscor 202 revolver with five live ammunition, caliber 357 Smith and Wesson revolver loaded with six ammunition and 12 sachets of shabu.

Another encounter transpired at about 8:35 p.m. Wednesday along Arboretum Road, Bgy. UP Campus that led in the death of two basag-kotse robbers.

Investigation showed that a certain Lorenz Cordero called the attention of the duty  guard of a fast food store after he discovered that one of the windows of his Toyota Innova was smashed and his laptop was stolen.

The security guard sought the help of the DSOU operatives who were conducting anti-criminality operation in the area.
