2 Marikina cops nabbed for rape of 2 drug suspects

TWO members of Marikina Police Station were arrested for allegedly raping two  female drug suspects inside the police station   early morning  Sunday.

Report showed the cop suspects identified as Patrolman Arnold Geroy, and Patrolman Sonny Maruzzo, both assigned at the Marikina Police Station Special Operations Unit (SSOU). were accused by two drug suspects aged 22 and 26, both residents of Antipolo City of raping them inside the SSOU office at around 5am Sunday.

Prior to the incident, the two women were arrested for drug charges and brought to the Marikina Police Station on March 29.

In a statement issued by National Capital Regional Police Office (NCPRO) chief Maj. Gen. Debold Sinas the incident transpired after the two suspects underwent a custodial briefing.

After the interrogation, the two female drug suspects were transferred to  the custodial facility. They immediately informed the duty policeman  that they were sexually abused by the two cops. The duty policeman reported to his superior about the incident.

The two cops placed under arrest and disarmed.

Geroy and Marusog are currently detained at the Marikina Police custodial facility and cases for violation of 8353 (Anti-Rape Law) were filed against them.
