2 top drug dealers fall in buy-bust

AGENTS of the Philippine National Police Drug Enforcement Group (PNP-DEG) arrested two of the country’s most wanted drug traffickers and seized a kilo of shabu worth P6.8 million during a buy-bust operation on Thursday afternoon in Las Piñas City.

PNP-DEG director Brigadier General Albert Ignatius D. Ferro identified the suspects as Abraham Jaha and Ailen Bilala, both tagged as members of a big-time drug trafficking syndicate operation in Metro Manila and Calabarzon and Bicol regions.

Ferro said the suspects were arrested during a sting at the covered court of Samata Village in Talon 5, Las Piñas City.

Recovered from their possession were one kilo shabu, 14 bundles of boodle money topped by some marked P1,000 bills and a pouch containing assorted bank cards, IDs and P230 in different denominations.

According to the official, members of the PNP-DEG Special Operations Unit 3 headed by Lieutenant Colonel Ireneo Dalogdog in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, the Southern Police District and the Las Piñas City Police Station conducted the successful sting.

He said the officers also impounded the suspect’s blue Hyundai car.
