2 women nabbed in Navotas drug busts

RESIDENTS and barangay officials of North Bay Boulevard lauded authorities following the arrest of a woman allegedly responsible in the proliferation of illegal drugs in the area Thursday evening in Navotas city.

Navotas police chief P/Col. Rolando Balasabas said the arrest of Merry Chris Julian, alias “Negra”, 32 of 417 Medina St Bgy. NBBN and her accomplice Gloria Milano, 58, of Blk. 37 Lot 11 Bgy. NBBS was the result of a buy-bust operation conducted by elements of Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) led by Lt. Genere Sanchez at around 11:30 p.m.  along Baron St. Bgy. NBBN.

Col. Balasabas said “Negra” was included in the police and barangay watch list as a notorious drug pusher in two of the largest barangays in the city, the North Bay Boulevard North (NBBN) and the North Bay Boulevard South (NNBS).

Operatives of SDEU were able to pounce on the two women after they handed a small plastic sachet of shabu to an undercover cop in exchange for P300 marked money.

When frisked, the two yielded a total of 8.3 grams of shabu with standard drug price amounting to P56,440.00 and the P300 marked money.
