The results of the 2018 Bar examinations will be released tomorrow, Friday.
Supreme Court Associate Justice Mariano C. Del Castillo, chairperson of the 2018 Supreme Court Committee on Bar Examinations, will make the announcement at the SC front yard in Padre Faura Street, Ermita, Manila.
Afterwards, an LED wall will show the list of successful Bar examinees. The total number of 2018 Bar examinees—8,155—is the highest so far in the history of the Bar exams.
The list of successful examinees will then be posted and may be viewed at the SC official website, and its designated mirror sites.
The 2018 Bar examination was the 117th held in the Philippines. The exam was administered by the Office of the Bar Confidant (OBC) under Assistant Bar Confidant Atty. Amor Entila.
A total of 8,158 Bar examinees took the Political Law and International Law and Labor Law and Social Legislation exams when the Bar exams started on November 4, 2018.
This was reduced by two examinees on November 11 and 18, the second and third Bar Sundays, when the Civil Law and Taxation Law exams and the Mercantile Law and Criminal Law exams were administered, respectively.
Another examinee dropped out on the last Bar Sunday, when the Remedial Law and Legal and Judicial Ethics and Practical Exercises exams were given.
The OBC, aside from being charged with administering the annual Bar examinations, is also the repository of the records and data on Bar admission. #
