23 fall in stepped-up Quezon City Police Department drug crackdown

POLICE yesterday announced the arrest of 23 drug suspects including two minors in Quezon City.

QCPD director P/Brigadier General Joselito Esquivel Jr. said that the two minors aged 16 (male) and 14 (female) were arrested by operatives of the Kamuning Police Station (PS 10) under P/Lt. Col. Loiuse Benjie Tremor around 11:45 p.m. Friday at the corner of Kalayaan Road and Maparaan Street in Brgy. Central.

The two minors yielded four sachets of shabu, a cellular phone and buy-bust money from a policeman disguised as a civilian.

In a separate operation, PS 10 cops arrested Kent Abadilla, 22, of Brgy. Bagbag, Novaliches for possession of four sachets of dried marijuana leaves.

The La Loma Police Station (PS 1) collared Fernando Andales, 30, of Brgy. Doña Imelda for stealing two steel beams worth P2,916 from a stockyard of the skyway project owned by EEI Construction Company.

When apprehended, he yielded a sachet of shabu.

PS 1 cops also arrested Adriano Valencia, 29, of Sampaloc, Manila and John Paulo Belarmino, 28, of Brgy. Salvacion, yesterday at about 2:00 a.m. along Calamba St., corner Blumentrit Extension Brgy. Salvacion.

Confiscated from them were an opened sachet of marijuana leaves, glass tube pipe with traces of marijuana and disposable lighter.

Also yesterday, the Talipapa Police Station (PS 3) arrested Eric Medina, 48, of Brgy. Pasong Tamo, at about 2:40 a.m., and found on him 10 sachets of shabu and buy-bust money.
