JOINT elements of Las Piñas City police and Regional Drug Enforcement Unit of the National Capital Region Police Office (RDEU-NCRPO) seized more than P.2 million worth of shabu from three suspected drug personalities during a buy-bust operation Thursday afternoon in Las Piñas City.
NCRPO Director Guillermo Eleazar identified the arrested suspects as Pamela Arroyo, Marilou Santos and Ricardo Nalos, all of Mayuga Compound, Bgy. Almanza Uno.
The three were arrested after they handed five grams of shabu to an undercover agent of RDEU in exchange for P10,000 marked money at around 5:30 p.m. at Mayuga Compound.
When frisked, authorities recovered from the suspects six more plastic sachets of shabu weighing about 30 grams with street value of P204,000 and the buy-bust money.
During the operation, police recovered at the suspect’s abode two slot machines used in illegal gambling.
The arrested suspects were charged with violation of Section 5 and 11, Article II of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act and RA 9287 of An act increasing the penalties of illegal gambling before the Las Piñas City Prosecutor’s Office.
