3 men nabbed with cache of weapons, explosives in Taguig raid

THREE alleged protectors of illegal drug trade, including two brothers, were arrested for illegal possession of firearms, explosives and ammunition in a raid yesterday before dawn in Paranaque City.

National Capital Region Police Office chief Director Guillermo Lorenzo T. Eleazar identified the siblings Salah and Salman Esmail Mohamad. They were arrested along with Allan Acmad Barudi who suffered serious head injury when he jumped  from the second floor of the raided house at No. 10 Ninoy Aquino Avenue in Barangay San Dionisio, Paranaque City, in an attempt to escape.

The other target of the raid identified as Salih Abdullah Mohamad, the father of the two Mohamad siblings was not around during the service of the search warrant for violation of Republic Act 10591 or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulations Act of 2013.

The raid was triggered by information from a concerned citizen that the suspects were keeping unlicensed high-powered guns in their house. The informant described the suspects as highly-influential persons in their Muslim community.
