THREE men were arrested in separate entrapment operations for allegedly selling overpriced alcohol and face masks Monday evening in Las Piñas City.
Las Piñas police chief Col. Segundo Lagundi, Jr. identified the arrested suspects as Jay Bonn Agbulos, 36, of B17 L20 San Francisco St. Metrocor Homes, Brgy. Almanza, Brian Maglaya, 30, of 3080 Jade St. San Antonio Homes, Brgy. Int’l CAA and Harold Villanueva, 35, of 29 Number St BF Martinville Subdivision, Manuyo 2.
Agbulos and Maglaya were arrested by elements of Station Intelligence Section at around 7:30 p.m. along Alabang-Zapote Road, Bgy. Almanza Uno that resulted in the confiscation of 120 boxes of surgical masks and marked money used by undercover cop in entrapment operation.
Earlier at around 7:20 p.m, elements of Station Intelligence Section led by Maj. Jose Anaz arrested Villanueva at the parking lot of SM Southmall, Almanza I after he received a marked money amounting to P625 for a gallon of alcohol, higher for its suggested retail price of P450.
Col. Lagundi said the arrested suspects will be presented to inquest proceedings before the Makati City Prosecutor’s Office on charges for violation of RA 7394 or the Consumers Act of the Philippines and Proclamation Number 922.
