3 with P408K shabu collared by Quezon City cops

Quezon City Police District (QCPD) director, PCSupt. Joselito T. Esquivel Jr. reported to PNP chief, PDG Oscar D. Albayalde and National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) director, PDir Guillermo Lorenzo T. Eleazar, the arrest of three drug suspects who yielded P408,000 worth of shabu, marijuana and unlicensed guns with ammunition in the latest anti-illegal drugs and anti-criminality operations in Quezon City.

Novaliches Police Station (PS 4) under PSupt. Rossel Cejas arrested in a buy-bust  Conrado Gonzales, 52, of Caloocan City, Bernard Bailey, 41, of Manila and Arlene Puno, 43, of Pasig City at about 12:30 a.m., yesterday in front of Sta. Monica Cockpit Arena along Sarmiento St., Bgy. Sta. Monica, Novaliches.

Confiscated from the suspects were six sachets of shabu weighing approximately 60 grams with estimated street value of P408,000, two ziplocks of dried marijuana, drug paraphernalia, a caliber .45 pistol with serial no. 743908, one magazine with six live ammunition, one Snub Nosed caliber .38 revolver with five live ammunition, a white Honda Civic bearing plate no. TPT 365, a cellphone and cash in different denomination.

Further investigation showed that Gonzales is the main drug supplier in the area and already had two previous cases for illegal drugs.

He was convicted in 1994 and served his sentence for 12 years. In 2011, he was again arrested in Pasay City for selling illegal drugs but then he was acquitted.

Also, Bailey was convicted for Murder in 1997 and served his sentence. He was arrested again for violation of RA 9165, RA 10591 and RA 8294 but was acquitted. Meanwhile, Puno was included in the Pasay City drug watchlist.
