Three suspected robbers were killed in separate encounters with the policemen in Quezon City.
QCPD Director Police Brigadier General Ronnie S Montejo said two unidentified robbery-holdup suspects described to be between 25-30 years old were neutralized by the operatives of Novaliches Police Station (PS 4) under PLtCol. Hector Amancia.
A report showed that at about 1:40a.m., Tuesday a certain Mark Anthony Cabiso, 33, of San Juan City and rider of a food delivery service was robbed by two armed men along Quirino Highway in Novaliches.
The suspects fled using the black Yamaha Mio Soul motorcycle of the victim.
The victim immediately reported the incident to the Novaliches Police Station.
Moments later, policemen received information from a concerned citizen regarding two suspicious male persons who were seen disassembling motorcycle parts at a vacant lot in Jonaville Subd., Brgy. Nagkaisang Nayon, Novaliches.
The policemen proceeded at the reported place and spotted the suspects, they were about to approach them but the suspects fired shots.
A shootout ensued resulting in the neutralization of the suspects.
Policemen recovered the stolen motorcycle, one Squires pistol, a black sling bag containing the victim’s cellphone and wallet with several ID cards.
Cabiso positively identified the suspects as the same persons who robbed him at gunpoint.
In another incident, suspect Ibrahim Asula, of legal age and resident of Bgy. Batasan Hills was slain in a shootout with operatives of Batasan Police Station (PS 6) under PLt.Col. Romulus Gadaoni at about 10:25 p.m., Monday in front of No. 3 Kalayaan D Ext., Bgy. Batasan Hills.
PBGen. Montejo commended the operatives for their dedication to duty and bravery in confronting and neutralizing the armed suspects. He also lauded the victim of robbery for promptly reporting the incident to the police which responded immediately.
