THREE suspected robbers were killed in a shootout with police Thursday night in Quezon City.
Quezon City Police District director Brig. Gen. Joselito Esquivel said the Novaliches Police Station (PS 4) under Lt. Col. Rossel Cejas responded twice to a report from the emergency hotline 911 about the presence of armed men at Gozum Street in Saint James Subdivision in Bgy. Nagkaisang Nayon.
The policemen spotted three suspicious-looking men who fitted to the description provided by 911. The police were to arrest the suspects but instead of surrendering, they drew their handguns and opened fire. The enforcers retaliated and killed the suspects.
Esquivel described the still unidentified slain suspects as about 25 to 35 years of age and bearing body tattoos.
Recovered from the crime scene were two revolvers, three live cartridges, four empty shells, five sachets of shabu and a back-pack containing two duct tapes, chisel, two screw drivers, pliers, handcuffs and bull cap.
