7 peddlers yield P2M shabu

AUTHORITIES seized more than P2 million worth of shabu from seven suspected big-time drug peddlers in a buy-bust operation Monday evening in Taguig City.

Newly installed Southern Police District (SPD) Director P/Col. Emmanuel Peralta identified the arrested suspects as Saner Guipal, 37, Mohammad Adjaluddin, 50, Butch Oyo, 45, Arapat Samasama, 34, Hans Joseph Casiano, 37, Johanna Usman 25 and Rashid Biri, 19, all residents of Barangay Maharlika, Taguig City.

Col. Peralta said the suspects were arrested at around 7:30 p.m. after they conspired in selling shabu to an undercover cop who posed as poseur-buyer along Jolo Sulu Street, Quiapo Dos, Bgy. Maharlika.

When Guipal handed a medium size of shabu to a police poseur-buyer in exchange for 87 pieces of boodle money with two genuine peso bill, the latter gave the pre-arranged signal to the elements of Taguig Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) led by P/Capt. Ariel Ilagan that resulted in the arrest of the suspects.

Taguig police chief P/Col. Celso Rodriguez said his men recovered from the arrested suspects a total of 14 pieces of plastic sachets of shabu weighing more or less 433.02 grams with an estimated street value worth P2,944,536.00, the buy bust money, several pieces of drug paraphernalia, three mobile phonse and one Suzuki Raider motorcycle.
