8 held in QC drug den raid

AGENTS of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency on Saturday afternoon raided a suspected drug den in Project 8, Quezon City where they arrested eight suspects and seized over P80,000 worth of shabu and various drug  paraphernalia, PDEA chair, Director General Aaron N. Aquino announced yesterday.

The official said that arrested during the 5 p.m. Saturday raid at the suspected drug dive located at Room 36-F of Sitio Maligaya Compound in Barangay Bahay Toro, Project 8, Q.C. was suspected drug group leader Luisito Cardiel alias ‘Mona,’ 49.

Also arrested were Cardiel’s brothers Vicente, 54, and Christopher, 35, Marvin Pergis, 43, Patrick Aquino, 22, Susan Itioses, 43 Rodrigo dela Alas, 52, and Robert dela Cruz, 37.

Aquino said that members of the PDEA Naitonal Capital Region Office seized eight heat-sealed plastic sachets containing around 12 grams of the so-called ‘poor man’s cocaine’ worth nearly P82,000 and assorted drug paraphernalia.
