MEMBERS of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) of the Philippine National Police arrested actress Keanna Reeves over cyber libel charges yesterday afternoon in Quezon City for allegedly bullying a businesswoman in Laguna.

Reeves, Janet Derecho Duterte in real life, was arrested by members of CIDG Laguna and Calamba City Police Station at No. 81 Timog Avenue near the corner of Scout Ybarrdolaza, in Quezon City, at around 12:45 p.m.

The sexy actress was arrested based on a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Maria Florencia B. Formes-Baculo of Calamba City RTC Branch 34, for violation of Section 4 of RA 10175 or the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012.

The case stemmed from a cyber libel complaint filed by  businesswoman Nancy Dimaranan.

Reeves allegedly mocked and cursed Dimaranan, owner of a food park in Biñan, Laguna where the actress performed on July 14.

The complainant claimed the actress was paid P5,000 as talent fee and was given additional P1,500 for travel fare when Reeves asked for it.

Dimaranan claimed that Reeves also asked her to take her back to Quezon City or Alabang after the show but she refused because she was already tired.

However, the following day, Dimaranan said she saw a video allegedly posted by Reeves in social media attacking her personality and calling her “Demonyong bakla”.

In her defense, Reeves denied she cursed Dimaranan and called her names, and explained that she only expressed her dismay since the original arrangement was to bring her home.

The sexy actress denied she mocked Dimaranan for being a transgender.

Judge Baculo recommended a P20,000 bail for Reeves’ temporary liberty.

Reeves was best known as the “big winner” in reality TV show Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Edition aired on ABS-CBN in 2006.
