THE Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) yesterday named 18 universities in Metro Manila where the Communist Party of the Philippines-New People’s Army Terrorist Group (CNTG) allegedly recruit students to be part of the plan to oust President Rodrigo Roa Duterte.
AFP Assistant Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations Brig. Gen. Antonio Parlade Jr. said the rebel and terrorist group were able to penetrate almost all schools as part of their effort to strengthen their forces by recruiting students.
“Halos lahat na school napasok nila,” Parlade said.
Among these schools are University of the Philippines (UP)-Diliman, UP-Manila, Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP)-Sta Mesa, Ateneo de Manila, La Salle, University of Sto. Tomas (UST), Adamson University, Far Eastern University (FEU), University of the East (UE)-Recto, UE-Caloocan, Emilio Aguinaldo College (EAC), Earist-Eulogio Amang Rodriguez, San Beda, Lyceum, University of Makati, Caloocan City College, Universitu of Manila and Philippine Normal University (PNU).
Parlade believed that management of the said schools and universities are not aware that their schools were already penetrated by the terrorists group.
“Posible, hindi alam ng school officials na CPP na nagkukumpas, except sa mga schools na notorious sa school activism,” he said.
Parlade said the rebel group used film showing as part of their effort to recruit students.
He said the rebel will show to the students the dark years of martial law to incite them to rebel against the government.
He added that the rebel group will project to the students that PRRD is the new Marcos.
“May ongoing film showing sila about dark years of martial law sa mga class to incite students to rebel against the government? Incite resurgence of first quarter storm experience among students while projecting PRRD as the new Marcos,” Parlade explained.
“What the students don’t know is that if the CPP wins in this campaign, they will implement what’s in the CPP Constitution and Programs Version 2016 published May 2018, Art. 3, Sec 7 -- establish a “proletarian dictatorship”, he added.
Parlade mentioned the story of communist Kmer Rouge when dictator Polpot purged millions of all professionals and intellectuals in Kampuchea now Cambodia and installed its workers and peasants in its communist regime.
He said the CPP will win in this campaign, Joma Sison will be the reincarnation of Polpot, worse than Mao.
In line with these, Parlade urged everyone to be watchful, particularly parents, of what the schools are doing to their children.
“So please inform our parents, be watchful of what their schools are doing to their children,” he said.
Parlade added that the recruitment was started a long time ago but was heightened today and was inciting students to rebel againsts the government.
“Ang bago ngayon, ini-incite nila ’yung mga estudyante na umalsa dahilm dito sa issues na EJK (extra-judicial killing),” he said.
