Albayalde back from Germany trip

PHILIPPINE National Police chief Director General Oscar D. Albayalde on Saturday returned after a 9-day official mission in Bavaria, Germany but was greeted by two tragic incidents that killed a policeman and four soldiers and injured 17 civilians.

“I am glad to be back from a 9-day official mission in Bavaria, Germany under the auspices of the Hanns Seidel Foundation,”  he said, referring to his joining the lnformation Exchange Delegation Visit in Germany together with PNP Deputy Chief for Administration, Lieutenant General Fernando Mendez Jr., PNP Director for Human Resource and Doctrine Development, Major General Mariel Magaway and PP Director for Comptrollership, Maj. Gen. Jose Ma. Victor Ramos.

“The PNP extends deepest condolences to orphaned families of three soldiers and two civilians who died in another deadly act of terrorism in Sulu even as police and emergency services are attending to several other wounded persons who suffered injuries from the twin  blasts; and sifting through the crime scene for possible leads that will hasten investigation,” Albayalde said.
