Bar owner shot dead by RIT men

A lady trader was killed by riding-in-tandem suspects right inside her bar in Sta. Ana, Manila the other night.

Maricel Padpad, 45, owner of Mad Wings Bar and Restaurant and residing at 2147 Silahis St., Sta. Ana, Manila, died instantly due to gunshot wounds in the different parts of the body. The suspects who remain unknown, meanwhile, were able to get away.

A probe by Cpl. Mark Daniel de Guzman of the Manila Police District-Crimes Against Persons Investigation Section (MPD-CAPIS) said that the incident took place at 11:10 p.m. inside the said bar located at the corner of Tejeron and Syquia Streets in Sta. Ana.

The victim was seated near the bar’s entrance door when the gunman approached and shot her at close range. The suspect then boarded a waiting motorcycle which sped off toward Tejeron Street.

Investigation showed that at around 3:30 a.m. of March 30, three men aboard a Honda Sedan (XCB-926) parked in front of the said bar and seemed like they were conducting surveillance.
