THE Bureau of Customs and the Bureau of Animal Industry advised all arriving passengers and tourists from countries affected by African Swine fever (ASF) not to bring fresh meat or canned products to avoid confiscation.

The BoC and the BAI are still on alert level against the virus as part of their precautionary measures to prevent the entry of ASF into the country.

BoC-NAIA District Collector Carmelita Talusan ordered the strict monitoring of all incoming shipments and checked-in baggage of passengers, both foreign and local, from affected countries in Europe and in other Asian region.
