Chinese fugitive nabbed

A 54-year-old Chinese said to be wanted in China for fraud was nabbed in Binondo, Manila the other night.

Xu Wenlu, of 36-G Tower B , City Place Square in Binondo, is now in the custody of the Regional Special Operation Unit of the NCRPO in Camp Bagong Diwa, Taguig City.

A report from the office of Major German Manabat, chief of the DSOU-MPD, said that the suspect was nabbed at around 7 p.m. by virtue of an arrest warrant dated May 3, 2018 from the People’s Republic of China after he reportedly escaped from jail and then hid in the country.

Bobby Raquepo, chief of the Fugitive Search Unit of the Bureau of Immigration, was said to have coordinated with the MPD-DSOU based on which a surveillance operation was conducted by the police and the Chinese national got arrested.
