March 19, 2020

A female Chinese national said to be a manager of a bar in Pasay City died after falling off a condominium building on Adriatico Street in Malate, Manila early yesterday morning.

A report from the Malate Police Station (PS-9) of the Manila Police District (MPD) identified the victim as Liu Caiyu  32.

Investigation showed that the incident took place at around 4:20 a.m. The victim was said to have fallen from unit 9M Tower C of the Suntrust Adriatico Gardens  and landed on the ground floor, resulting in her instant death.

While the guards were checking where the victim fell from, a certain Allen Lim reportedly approached them and told them that the victim fell from the unit owned by him.

As narrated by Lim, the victim had been renting his one-bedroom condominium unit since March 8, 2020.

Prior to the incident, he and the victim reportedly went out of the condominium building and proceeded to HK Plaza in Pasay City, where they met the victim’s boyfriend.

At about 4:20 a.m., roving guards heard a thud and found the lifeless victim. Lim said he noticed that there was chaos and was informed that a woman’s body was found outside the building.

Lim then proceeded at the location and claimed he instantly recognized Liu Caiyu as the victim and that he informed the security guards that the woman jumped out the window of his condominium unit.

An ocular investigation conducted inside the condominium unit revealed that the bedroom window where the victim jumped from was half opened but a body same as with that of the victim’s could fit.

‘Indication of struggle could not be determined because the unit was messy, untidy and not orderly. A bloodstain was reportedly seen at the 9th floor just at the front of the elevator door,’ the police report stated.
