Chinese’s throat slit by compatriot, critical

A 21-year-old Chinese is now in critical condition after one of his three compatriot-friends allegedly slit his throat over a woman at 4:55 yesterday morning in Malate, Manila.

Pu Jize, said to be staying at the Paseo Park View Suite in Makati City, sustained a gaping wound in the neck and remains under observation.

The suspect was identified as Wang Tian Ming, 24, of Dettipose Tower Unit  1807-A Aquarius  Dance Condo, Mandaluyong while his companions were identified as Ding Shenping , 28 and  Zhing Quiang Ding, 32, both of  Sucat, Parañaque City.

Investigation by P/Cpl. Gil Tupil of the Manila Police District-General Assignment Investigation Section said that the incident took place at 4:55 a.m.

The victim was reportedly spotted trading punches with the suspect and the latter’s companions at the corner of Jorge Bocobo and Remedios Streets in Malate, Manila when the MPD-Remedios Police Community Precinct cops arrived.  Moments later, the victim laid on the ground with blood coming out from his neck.

While the victim was rushed to the hospital, the suspects were nabbed as they tried to escape.

After an initial probe by P/Lt.Col. Igmedio Bernaldez, Station Commander of the MPD-Ermita Police Station 5, the case was turned over to the MPD-GAIS which filed a case of frustrated homicide against the suspects.

Police investigation showed that the incident was triggered by jealousy, since the victim’s girlfriend is being courted by one of the three suspects. It was not immediately known if the woman is Filipino or Chinese.
