Cop helps woman give birth at home

AMID the COVID-19 situation in the country, a 23-year-old woman was able to give birth aided by a Valenzuela policeman who was awarded as an  outstanding cop and who happened to have been on duty as a frontliner.

The Manila Police District-Police Station 6 reported that PLt. Jhon Florence Alacon helped Shiela Mae Villegas, 23, of Barangay 764, San Andres Bukid, Manila, give birth inside her home at  8:44  a.m.

Alacon reportedly noticed the commotion inside the house of Villegas so that he helped and was able to help Villegal give birth to a baby boy.

Alacon then helped bring the woman to the nearest lying-in  center for a thorough check on her condition.  Both mother and son are now safe.

It was learned that Alacon was awarded as 2017 Outstansing Junior Police-Non Commisioned of the Valenzuela Police Station and is presently detailed at the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO).
