
Cop regains MC as thief nabbed for no helmet
A Manila cop was able to recover his stolen motorcycle after the one who took it was accosted for not wearing a helmet at the corner of V. Mapa and Sarmiento Streets in Sta. Mesa, Manila the other day.
Detained at the Manila Police District-Police Station 8 was suspect Mikhael Flore ,29, of 409 Teresita St.,Bustillos, Sampaloc, Manila.
P/Capt.Jake Arcilla, commander of the VMapa Police Community, said the suspect was eyed acting suspiciously at 11:15 a.m. while aboard a motorcycle.
He was thus accosted by Pat. Louie Rens Crisostomo and two other policemen for not wearing the required helmet.
The suspect then failed to present a driver’s license and was thus brought to the PCP for verification.
It was then that the motorcycle was found to be that which was stolen from and owned by Pat.Christopher Diamzon,31 , of MPD-station 8.
Said motorcycle was stolen last February 10 between 11:55 p.m. and 3:10 a.m. on JP Laurel St. in San Miguel,Manila.
Diamzon was able to identify the white Yamaha Mio sport 125 CC model 2017 as his.
The suspect was turned over to the MPD- Anti- Carnapping Unit and was charged with carnapping before the Manila Prosecutor’s Office.
