A POLICE officer was shot dead by still unidentified gunmen while buying chicken feeds Tuesday morning in Las Pinas City.
P/SSgt. Julius Fabre, 39, resident of San Dionisio, Paranaque City and presently assigned at the Personnel Holding and Accounting Unit of Southern Police District (PHAU-SPD) succumbed to bullet wounds in the body while being rushed to Olivarez General Hospital.
Investigation conducted by P/MSgt. Randy De Rivero of Las Pinas police homicide section showed that the victim, while on his way home after rendering his duty, decided to stop at the poultry supply located at the corner of Villareal and Padre Diego Sierra St., Bgy. Manuyo 1 at around 7:45 a.m. to buy chicken feeds.
While waiting for his purchase, two armed men alighted from a white Ford Everest sports utility vehicle (SUV) and shot him repeatedly in the body.
Police said the suspects took the service firearm of the victim before fleeing towards an unknown direction.
The motive behind the killing is yet to be determined while a follow-up operation is still being conducted for possible identification and arrest of the suspect.
