THE Quezon City Police District (QCPD) yesterday arrested a criminology student along with a father and son and 16 others in separate anti-drug operations.
QCPD director Chief Supt. Joselito Esquivel identified the suspects as Gian Christopher Nortega, 20; Romel Lavadia, 46; and his son Romel John, 21, alias Bojay.
The three were arrested by the Batasan Police Station (PS 6) under Supt. Joel Villanueva in Bgy. Holy Spirit, at around 2 a.m.
Also arrested during the anti-drug operations were their companions Karl Memita, 20, Jheo Mark Paul Datan, 21, and Jello Romantico Valenzuela, 21.
A police asset was able to buy dried marijuana joints from Bojay that led to their arrest.
In a separate buy-bust operation, PS 6 operatives arrested Jerome Velasquez while in possession of two sachets of shabu.
Meanwhile, 13 other drug suspects were also rounded up in separate stings.
