A 26-year-old Korean national said to be suffering from depression died after reportedly gulping at least 150 tablets inside his rented condominium in Malate, Manila yesterday.
The victim was identified as Doohon Kim, of Room 708, Regency Crown Plaza on Adriatico Street in Malate, Manila.
Det. Jonathan Bautista, in his report to Chief Inspector Rommel Anicete, chief of the Manila Police District-homicide section, said that the victim was found dead at around 11 a.m. on top of his bed.
His Filipina girlfriend told probers that the victim once tried to commit suicide due to depression.
This time around, he reportedly texted his girlfriend that he would be taking 150 tablets that were prescribed to him by a doctor in Korea and that he had stopped taking his maintenance medicines.
It was learned that Kim had a business in the country and that he began living in his condo in August this year, with his parents footing all the bills for his daily expenses.
The victim’s body was brought to a funeral morgue for autopsy before it is brought back to Korea.
