A 36-YEAR-OLD advertising installer was stabbed and seriously wounded by his drinking buddy following their heated altercation Monday evening in Malabon city.
Crispelito Cebreno of Sitio 6 Dumpsite, Bgy. Catmon was rushed by his live-in partner to Lorenzo Ruiz General Hospital before he was transferred to Tondo Medical Center for further medical treatment of stab wound in his left trunk.
Malabon police chief P/Col Jessie Tamayao said responding police officers were able to arrest the suspect identified as Rolando Vinluan, 55, but they failed to recover the bladed weapon used in stabbing the victim.
Homicide investigators P/SSgt. Ernie Baroy and P/SSgt. Jose Romeo Germinal II said the victim and the suspect were having a drinking spree inside the latter’s house when they engaged in a heated altercation at around 8:20 p.m. resulting in a fist fight.
“Palaging nagkakaroon ng pagtatalo ang mga iyan kapag nag-iinuman, tapos naaayos naman pero kapag nag-inom ulit, nauungkat yung kanilang mga lumang pinagtatalunan,” Sgt. Baroy said in an interview over the phone.
When the suspect sensed that he was losing in their fight, he grabbed a bladed weapon and stabbed Cebreno once in his left trunk.
The victim, though wounded, managed to run outside until he was able to seek the help of his live-in partner who rushed him to the nearest hospital. edd reyes
