POLICE arrested a drug-crazed man after his own sister sought police assistance when he again started to create trouble in their neighborhood while allegedly under the influence of drug Tuesday afternoon in Pateros.
Manuel Baiza, 27, jobless of 504 T. Sulit St. Bgy. Aguho was arrested by responding Pateros police while still in the act of using shabu inside their abode at around 5:30 p.m. when his elder sister Ruby decided to report his illegal activity to the police.
Pateros police investigator P/SSgt Raffy Castillo said that earlier, Ruby went to Barangay Police Outpost to seek the assistance of P/Cpl. Renz Sarmiento and Pat. Figuracion after his brother started to create trouble by throwing stones in the neighborhood.
When policemen, together with barangay watchmen responded to the area, they failed to catch the suspect in the act of creating trouble but when Ruby ushered the lawmen into their house, they caught the suspect while in the act of sniffing shabu.
Police seized from the suspect three transparent plastic sachets with traces of suspected shabu, five pieces crumpled aluminum foil and several pieces of drug paraphernalia which were turned over to the Southern Police District (SPD) Crime Laboratory for chemical analysis.
