A SUSPECTED drug supplier burned and flushed into the toilet some of his drugs in order for members of Marikina Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) not to recover the illegal items.
However, Col. Restituto Arcanghel, Marikina Police chief, said they were able to seize P2.4 million worth of suspected shabu from a suspect identified as Sabila Dima, 27, married during an operation at No. 151 Soliven Street,. Green Heights Subd. Bgy Nangka Marikina City at around 10:30 pm Friday.
Sabila’s wife Norma, 22, and five others identified as Alijam Mama, 19, single; Ezapil Mama, 22; single; Hasanor Usman, 48; Salik Mimbala, 48, married and Rojamid Abas, 20, were also arrested by police during the operation.
Prior to the operation, Arcanghel said they received information that the suspect Sabila was engaged in drugs, using his house as selling point.
Na-flushed nila sa toilet yung ibang shabu para hindi namin marecover. Mas marami sana kaming nakuha kung hindi niya na flush sa toilet bowl yun iba pang shabu,” Arcanghel told reporters.
At least 360 grams with an estimated street value of P2,448,000 was recovered during the operation , the official also said.
Aside from the drugs, they also seized a small envelope and other drug paraphernalias, one pack of empty transparent plastic sachet, a black sling bag containing P6,000 buy-bust money and P8,800 cash in different denominations.
Arcanghel disclosed that the suspects have been renting the house in Bgy, Nangka for several months only to operate their illegal drug activities in Marikina City.
“ Wala na kasing masyadong drug supplier sa Marikina area, nagbabagsak sila dito para makapag-operate pero ang supply nila galing sa Rizal.
The seven suspects are now detained and face charges for violation of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Drug Acts of 2002.
